These pieces were my first exploration into creating a body of work.  About 50 pieces were finished and unfortunately, most of this work was given away or lost over time. I started exploring these abstract shapes in 2001.  At that time, I wasn’t aware of what these shapes meant.  These shapes were present in my life since I was 13, but they were more than a common doodle in the margins of my notebook.  After exhausting this work, it became clear as to what these shapes represented, and it paved the way to my BFA show.
